Showtime at Turtle Bay Resort

SBS Open

There is so much going on at Turtle Bay Resort that it is sometimes hard to keep track of it all. We finished a wonderful week with the Seoul Broadcasting System as the LPGA kicked off their 2009 season with the SBS Open. The weather was perfect (except for the North Shore’s unpredicable wind). Turtle Bay Resort’s Arnold Palmer course was in pristine condition. Hundreds of volunteers took care of the record-breaking crowds that came out to watch local favorate Michelle Wie in her first LPGA event as a card carrying member of the LPGA. Knight Rider

Last november, NBC filmed part of the new Knight Rider television show at Turtle Bay Resort. For those of you who missed the episode when it aired, NBC has placed it online. The shots at Turtle Bay Resort (including the Ola at Turtle Bay Restaurant) are mostly at the beginning of the show and can be seen at the link below (be patient – it takes awhile):

Bethany Hamilton

There are some exiting things coming up as well. In February, ESPN shot a piece featuring Bethany Hamilton that will be shown on Her Story on March 27th. Further details about air times will be posted as they are available.
