Finau Brothers at Turtle Bay Golf

finau(left to right: June Jones (SMU), Matt Hall (Director of Golf at Turtle Bay Resort), Gipper Finau, Tony Finau and Bob Boyle, Vice President and General Manager at Turtle Bay Resort) took part in a press conference today promoting the relationship between Turtle Bay Golf, Turtle Bay Resort and Tony and Gipper Finau.

The two teen golf professionals (Tony is 19 and Gipper is 18) have entered into a three year agreement that will provide a place for the pair to play, practice and train as they aspire to play on the PGA Tour. Both have been recognized as two of the best golfers in the county under the age of 25.

After watching them play first-hand, World Golf Hall of Famer and 2-time Major Champion winner, Johnny Miller, felt they could compete at the professional level and encouraged them to do so, and in fact, after turning pro at very young ages Tony finished 8th and took home a check for $100,000 at his professional debut and Gipper became the youngest to ever make a cut in a nationwide tour event, at the age of 16. Turtle Bay Golf looks forward to having them as part of the team!
