Turtle Bay was approached late spring by some prominent local residents for a donation of cash. Director of Sales and Marketing Mike Wilkins and Vice President, General Manager and Regional Director of Operations Bob Boyle suggested something that would potentially bring in more than the resort could have actually donated in cash. Matt Hall, Director of Turtle Bay Golf, donated a golf tournament.

Sales Manager Bonnie Holmbeck and Public Relations Manager Keoki Wallace helped to locate sponsors and sell tickets to the inaugural “Legends Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament”. With only six weeks to work on it the tournament was still a success, bringing in $5,000, which was donated to the Ko’olauloa Educational Alliance Non Profit Corporation, an entity that assists local schools and community organizations supporting children’s education and career planning.
