Too Big to Surf

Turtle Bay Resort was hit by massive surf on November 25, 2009, causing operations at the Sand Bar (snorkeling, swimming, etc.) to be shut down. Guests sat along the edge of the Hang Ten Bar and Grill and spent hours just watching the amazingly powerful surf roll in.

Turtle Bay Resort was not the only one affected by these huge waves. The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing had to cancel its competition because the waves were too big and closed too fast  for even the professionals to safely handle. The Triple Crown is expected to be back on on Friday. Even though the waves and surf were high, LOST was able to get a full day of filming in on the property for their upcoming final season.

Check out the video below and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
