Hawaii Cacao Festival

Chocolate has an amazing history that has been traced to Mesoamerica circa 1,000 to 1,400 b.c. Locally grown Waialua Estate Cacao is used in Turtle Bay Resort’s Palm Terrace and Twenty One Degrees North Restaurants. In preparation for the Hawaii Cacao Festival, which will be held at the Haleiwa Farmers’ Market on Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 9 am to 1 pm, Turtle Bay Resort’s Executive Chef Hector Morales and Executive Pastry Chef Benjamin Tabios showed Hawaii News Now (KGMB/KHNL) viewers how to make Waialua Chocolate Somores.
