No Snow Blows Chance for Record

Weather fanatics and even just curiosity seekers turned their eyes toward Hawaii on February 12th, looking for what would at least be a tie, if not a record breaking day. With snow reaching down into Texas and Florida and everywhere else for that matter, it appeared that it might be possible for snow to be on the ground in all 50 states. Impossible? Not really. The “Big Island’s” Mauna Kea volcano, at 13,800 feet above sea level, does get snow on occasion. However, on the day it was needed, much to the dismay of record seekers everywhere, not a flake was seen.

Instead, Hawaii had great weather. Here at Turtle Bay Resort, there was sun, some fluffy white clouds and temperatures in the high seventies to low eighties. A few places received a little bit of liquid sunshine in the form of scattered rain showers, but in amounts hardly amounting to enough to get you completely wet.

Another typical day in paradise blows the chance for a record. For the guests of Turtle Bay Resort, February 12th will go into their memories as a great day. So we have to ask the question to all of you currently in snow. When are you coming to visit us?
