Sunset Beach Pro

The 1st stop of the stand up paddling at sunset beachStand Up World Tour (featuring top athletes in what has become known as stand up paddling) will take place on the North Shore of O’ahu at Sunset Beach, February 6th to February 14th, 2010.

The Main event will consist of the established Top 24 athletes as chosen by the ASUPP’s riders’ committee. These top 24 will be placed directly into the second round of the event. In the first round of the event will be 8 athletes from the alternate list, 4 wild cards and the top 4 finishers from the Trials event. This particular event is very challenging because it is taking place towards the end of the winter months on the North Shore, a time when waves can still be very high and quite treacherous.
