Tow In Surfing Hits Turtle Bay
T
he dawn broke bright and clear this morning. The sky was clear. There was a silence in the trees due to the complete lack of wind. But then you heard it. Steadily building during the day. At first like quiet thunder. Then louder and louder until you could feel the rumble in your gut. Monster waves pounding along the shoreline at Turtle Bay Resort.
O
ut came the tow in surfers, surfing in waves two to three times their own height. Excited guests lined up to watch; included among them was Bethany Hamilton and her father who took time away from watching the filming of Soul Surfer to cheer on their friends who were putting on the show in the water. And what a show it was. These pictures can not convey the immense power of the waves and the thrill associated by watching these masters perform…but they’ll just have to do until you are able to visit here and see them for yourself.

I wish we were there too! I miss Turtle Bay — we visited in April of 2009 and have wished every day since that we were back there….
I love the blogs and enjoy reading them so very much!
Thank you….keep up the good work!
