Volcom Pipe Pro Rages to Finish!

Volcom Pipe Pro after several, actually many days of waiting (Kona winds provided summer surf conditions for many days), came off with a finish that will go into the history books. Imagine having to cancel days because of no waves and then having to cancel days because the waves were too big to surf.

Nate Yeomans (San Clemente, CA), Jamie O’Brien (North Shore, HI), John John Florence (North Shore, HI), and Kai Barger (Maui, HI) went to the finals of Volcom Pipe Pro, head to head. Right out of the gate, Jamie went for and took the lead, only to be blown away with the last two waves ridden by John John, who scored a perfect 10 and a 9.93 in the last minutes of the heat to win with a 19.93, against Jamie’s 19.4.

What an amazing day here on Oahu’s Fabled North Shore!
