Puamama Screening

Director/Producer Meleanna Meyer will introduce and screen her documentary Puamama Sunday evening, April 15th at Turtle Bay Resort’s Surfer, The Bar. Doors open at 6pm. The event starts at 7pm. A full food and beverage menu will be available. The event is free.

Puamama focuses on the life and music of Irmgard Farden Aluli, one of Hawaii’s most prolific songwriters. Auntie Irmgard, as she is affectionately known, is one of 13 children in the musical Farden family.  One of her most famous songs is Puamama, which is a song about the area on the island of Maui where she was born and raised. Come get a glimpse into the life of this amazing women and learn from the maker of the film. Another Hawaii Filmmakers Showcase.
