Hollywood Services
The history of Hollywood‘s unique relationship with Turtle Bay Resort began with the resort’s grand opening in the mid 1970′s when Bob Hope graced the stage to the delight of those lucky enough to be then in attendance and has developed over the years to the point where it is now being written directly into new scripts. Such a relationship has not been created by accident. It has been developed over years of the resort ant Hollywood working together, earning Turtle Bay Resort the reputation in Hollywood of being the most film friendly resort in Hawaii.
Locations
Turtle Bay Resort features literally hundreds of diverse and breathtaking filming locations. Its five miles of beach and eight hundred and eighty acres of land provide jungle, ocean, beach, ironwood tree forests and rocky coastlines. The resort also has two golf
courses, tennis courts, beach-side cottages, restaurants, villas, hotel rooms, lobbies, ballrooms, a huge banyan tree, wedding pavilions and luxury suites, all available within to film productions.
Various locations are available on the property for base camps of all sizes. It is also possible to drive set and film trucks directly to nearly every filming location on the property.
Production Offices
Turtle Bay Resort has the ability to provide production offices in everything from smaller conference rooms to larger ballrooms…and even in hotel rooms accessible from the lobby elevators but also accessible from a stairway located at the very front of the resort. Access to T1 internet lines is available in each office location. Direct dial phones can be set up in each one of the office locations as well.
Rooms
Turtle Bay Resort has every type of room needed by film productions, from its 2,000 square foot Ali’i Suite, its 2,300 square foot 4 bedroom Villas or its beach-side cottages for the most demanding of stars to the ocean front, ocean front deluxe and smaller suites for cast and
crew. All rooms have high speed WiFi as well as direct internet Cat 5 hookups. And, due to the resort’s unique physical layout on a small peninsula that sticks out into the waters of Oahu’s North Shore, each room has a view of the ocean (sorry, no garden view rooms are available!).
Service & Cooperation
Each film production is assigned to a Conference Services Manager. That person becomes the point of contact for everything the production needs while on our property. This allows us to take the hassle out of working on location. You’ll never need to wonder who to call or who to talk to in order to coordinate your needs while shooting on or off property.
